Kasiah joined the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program after being referred through the Workforce Australia – Transition to Work program, delivered by Status. Facing some learning gaps and uncertainty about the right career path after leaving high school early, she began working towards the FSK10219 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways.
Through our training, Kasiah gained important employment skills such as time management, leadership qualities and public speaking. She also achieved her goal of learning digital and numeracy skills required for entry into higher education courses and future employment opportunities.
Kasiah previously found school challenging and struggled with anxiety in the classroom, as well as low confidence around money and saving. Through our classes, she developed math skills she hadn’t had before enrolling.
“𝘐 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘩. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘣 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦”
Kasiah also appreciated the positive influence of our trainer Ellie. She said Ellie made learning easier and provided great support during difficult times. Kasiah was pleasantly surprised to find that Pivot Training offers more than just education; it is a full support system.
“[𝘌𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘦’𝘴] 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘌𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳.”

Kasiah is now on her way to enrolling in further study, with aspirations to become both a diesel mechanic and a primary school teacher. Congratulations on your hard work, Kasiah, wishing you all the best on this exciting journey!
